World premiere - Traces

How could we imagine writing for dance ?
Invited to take part to the inauguration of Campus Biotech Geneva on May 22, Flux Laboratory presents "Traces", inspired by industrial designer Lesia Trubat’s idea of a pair of connected slippers.
Thanks to the latest technological developments in movement measurements, a sensor placed on the ballet slipper transcribes on a big screen, and for the first time in real time, the dancer’s movements.
Like a partition in music, "Traces" provides a form of artistic writing for dance.
Designed as a total creation, Flux Laboratory has assembled for this project a multidisciplinary team, both from the artistic and new technologies communities.
A Flux Laboratory creation, in partnership with the Fondation Campus Biotech.
