Multidisciplinary artist Simon Feltz begins dancing at the age of 16. He studies at the “Conservatoire National de Strasbourg” from 2006 to 2008, prior to entering the “Ecole Supérieur de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower”, where he conceives his first creations within the frame of “Les cartes blanches du jeune ballet”.

Engaged by the American dance company Alonzo King Lines Ballet, he performs in several pieces by the choreographer, after what he decides to return to France with the avowed goal of coming nearer to new artistic languages, of enriching himself as an artist and developing his own “vocabulary”.
He then joins the “Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon” in January 2011, where he has the chance to experiment a rich repertory and to collaborate with prestigious choreographers such as: William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine, etc.

In the frame of the Spanish festival « Nits de Tanit » in Ibiza, he creates two short pieces: “Dam”, a reinterpretation of the novel “Les yeux bleus, cheveux noirs” by Marguerites Duras; and “Phase”, a duo that, written together with Karline Marion, will later be presented during several national and international festivals.

From the 15th until the 20th of October 2017, he will be in residency at Flux Laboratory Geneva to work on his new piece “Entre deux rives”, based on the topic of euthanasia and produced in collaboration with “Le Croiseur de Lyon” theatre.
