"MIX 5", Ballet Junior

With three creative works and one piece added to the repertoire, the Ballet Junior de Genève will present an all-new program June 6-10, 2012 at the Salle des Eaux-Vives. The evening program is a chance for the public to discover the talents of approximately 40 dancers aged 17 to 23, and the varied styles of internationally known choreographers.

The first choreographer is Stijn Celis, who will unveil his creation, Black Cold Burns, to the lyrical sounds of Bob Dylan. With Kiokou, Ken Ossola is inviting us along on a journey, part dream and part reality, filled with memories that will mark our bodies and our memories. Idan Sharabi will explore the breadth of gestural communication in Song Etum, a poetic piece about our need to communicate. An excerpt from a work by Geneva choreographer Gilles Jobin will be added to the repertoire for this program. It’s a series of multiplying duets in random order for Double Deux duos involved in difficult maneuvers.
